Clearing the blockages ...

... and no, there's nothing biological about this very short post.
But a couple of clearances have occurred today; firstly an irritating block in the narrative of the book (see the post about characters having a life of their own) and then the sink. God alone knows what's down there in those pipes; I dread to think. But I had a session with the plunger this afternoon ( nothing like Sue White's session with the turkey baster I can assure you ...) and now the water gurgles away happily, so I'm happy too.
I really doesn't take much.

Huge, monstrous thunderstorms last night and this morning. My boys were out camping with their dad and I spent a tense few hours trying not to picture what might be happening out there. But it turns out they only heard the odd rumble. It was smack bang over my house though, and the forked lightning out over the moors was horrific to watch - but I couldn't stop watching it nevertheless. I think we're due for more of the same tonight.

Other than that this weekend has been very, very dull in a perfectly wonderful way. Lots of coffee, lots of toast, lots of writing - today, at least. And I'm on leave next week. Hoorah and huzzah, and other assorted whoops of delight.

And congrats to me: this template does not have a links section so I had to do the farting about with html thing - which I don't do - and have managed to put a list of links in. Marvellous, now I'm tempted to play with it a bit more but will probably lose everything if I do, so maybe not, on second thoughts ...

Congrats on the links, Terri - and many thanks for linking to me!

Here's a tip - if you're worried about playing about with more HTML, just copy your whole template as it stands now, paste it into WordPad or NotePad (not Word, though), and save it somewhere. Then if everything goes horribly wrong - which I'm sure it won't - you can just paste the old template back in and everything will be alright again!

Ooh, what a fab idea, thank you! I think I might just do that anyway, to be on the safe side because chances are, things will go horribly wrong, and I'll end up with a row of dancing hippos instead of a link to Google or something.

I read that as 'dancing hippies', and thought 'oo, I'd quite like to see that'!

Ah yes, don't worry about that Terri, it should give you the option to preview your page with any new additions before you save the changes.

I used it when I was starting to add links, which was quite fortunate as initially I managed to have them at the top of my page.
Still not quite sure how I managed that!

Hello Terri, I do not get on well with html myself, i'm sure (like a lot of things) it could be less complicated than it actually is. Thanks for the link by the way.

I managed to make my blog wider, which I'm extremely proud about! It's the small accomplishments...

Oh and here it's been 30 degrees with thunderstorms and buckets of rain all day! The sky was so dark I had to turn the lights on!

Lightning is probably one of the most beautiful things in the world, yet also equally as scary. My workmate once tried to take photo's of lightning, which he didn't manage to do, as he was neither psychic nor did he have the reflexes of a superhero!

HTML isn't that scary, mind you that is because i use the childs guide to HTML, which is what my IT teacher told me to use when i was at college. I don't think he meant to insult me. The dancing hippo's do sound kind of exciting, can you not put them on your page anyway!heehee!
